It was a beautiful day with Hawaiis top am. bowl skaters throwing down in the infamous boomerang/kitty bowl. 10/7/11 – Fall Skate Care camp 2011 has been completed with 48 new graduates today. Thank you to all of our wonderful staff, sponsors and parents for an awesome week. We cant thank you enough for all of your support… We feel so very grateful… We had riders come across the island. South side, West Side, North Shore and Waimanalo. 9/30/11 – Heimana Reynolds is the 2011 World Cup Skateboarding am. bowl champion. After 3 events(2 in California and 1 in Oregon) on the World Cup Skateboarding tour(Am. – Tec, Unifecta and TBM). Heimana Reynolds age 13 from Hawaii has earned the top spot for World am. bowl skateboarding. Thank you to everyone who supported and all who made this possible…

7/5/11 – Local 808 Entertainment skate team rider Heimana Reynolds gets his cast removed. After breaking his right radius at Woodwardwest training facility less than 4 weeks ago. The doctor has ordered it to come off to gain movement back again. A big day for the little shredder…
6 year old Aiden mini shredder wins Up and Riding “best trick” award at Skate Care Summer camp week 2. He was not only a great listener but he practiced and practiced the running take off jump on the skateboard trick. He nailed it and got it on lock, looking very comfortable every time he does it… Great job Aiden…

6/26/11 – Skate Care Summer camp partial scholarships are now being offered by The Leeward Pilot Club.
Big Mahalo to The Leeward Pilot Club who is offering partial scholarships to Local 808- Skate Care summer Camps to deserving individuals who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend Skate Camp. The Leeward Pilot Club is a non-profit service organization who supports projects that prevent brain injury. This scholarship program is open to all participants and all applicants will be considered for a partial scholarship. The scholarship is intended for those individuals and families who are unable to financially support the enrollment fee for such camps. The applicants will not be selected based on talent or individual achievements. The applicant will be selected based on their financial need. We ask that all applicants be specific about their financial situation and their need for a partial scholarship. The Leeward Pilot Club will evaluate all applications and make every effort to consider you for a partial scholarship. We also suggest that the participant prepare a letter (no more than a page) containing reasons why they want to participate in this camp and why wearing a helmet is important. This information will assist The Leeward Pilot Club with choosing a recipient of a partial scholarship. Please note that there are limited funds available and not applicants will be awarded a partial scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded in various amounts and will not be equivalent to the full enrollment fee. The earlier you send in your application the sooner we can consider you for a partial scholarship. All recipients of a partial scholarship will be given a deadline to accept their award; if your acceptance is not met by the deadline then the award will go to another applicant. We appreciate your cooperation in this program and look forward to assisting those who we are able to. Scholarships will not be equivalent to the full enrollment fee.
